Un erizo en el resort / A hedgehog at the resort

Nuestro greenkeeper y amigo Carlos Rebollo nos ha enviado unas fotos que tomó en el hoyo 10 el viernes 30 por la mañana, antes de amanecer. La noticia es que tenemos un nuevo vecino: un erizo.

Los erizos son unos pequeños mamiferos nocturnos que se alimentan de insectos. No es la primera vez que Carlos ha visto ejemplares de esta especie en el resort. Es una buena noticias desde el punto de vista de la biodiversidad y del estado mediambiental de Hacienda Riquelme.

Our greenkeeper and friend Carlos Rebollo has sent us some photos he took on the 10th hole on Friday 30th in the morning, before dawn. The news is that we have a new neighbour: a hedgehog.

Hedgehogs are small nocturnal mammals that feed on insects. It is not the first time that Carlos has seen specimens of this species in the resort. This is good news from the point of view of biodiversity and the environmental situation of Hacienda Riquelme.
