It is the Purple Swamp-hen (formerly called Purple Gallinule), a bird of the same family as coots and moorhens (Rallidae), habitual residents of the resort.
The photo, taken with optical + digital zoom, also illustrates the usefulness of the reedbeds to accommodate a wide variety and number of birds.
This summer many herons, especially night herons, can be easily watched at dawn and dusk.
If you get up early in the morning, it is very easy also to watch Little Owls on the perimeter fence - Of course, with binoculars.
We will never get tired of telling people about the ornithological wealth of our resort, which depends largely on the proper conservation of the lakes. The fast growth of the reeds is very good news for wildlife and for the beauty of the ponds.

Se trata del calamón, un ave de la misma familia que las fochas y gallinetas (rálidas), residentes habituales del resort.
La foto, tomada con zoom óptico + digital, sirve también para ilustrar la utilidad de los cañaverales para acoger una gran variedad y cantidad de aves.
Este verano se están viendo muchas garzas, sobre todo martinetes, fácilmente observables al amanecer y al atardecer.
Si madruga un poco, le será muy fácil observar también algún mochuelo sobre la valla perimetral. Eso sí, con prismáticos.
No nos cansaremos de insistir en la riqueza ornitológica de nuestro resort, que depende en buena medida de la adecuada conservación de los lagos. El rápido crecimiento de las cañas está siendo una muy buena noticia para la vida silvestre y la estética de los humedales.
