Hacienda Riquelme, Sucina y alrededores en SIGPAC / Hacienda Riquelme, Sucina and surroundings in SIGPAC

SIGPAC (Sistema de Identificación Geográfica de Parcelas Agrícolas) es una herramienta que delimita y recoge diversos atributos de las parcelas de un territorio con el objetivo de facilitar al agricultor la cumplimentación de su solicitud de ayudas a la PAC (Política Agraria Comunitaria). Los mapas están muy actualizados y dan una idea precisa del tipo de actividad agrícola desarrollada, de los núcleos de población, espacios protegidos y más.

Tanto SIGPAC como Google Earth muestran cómo es un territorio, pero también pueden servir para ver su evolución. Con este objetivo, hemos publicado diversas entradas a lo largo de los años, que pueden ayudar a conocer parte de la historia de Hacienda Riquelme. Se incluyen enlaces seleccionados al final de esta entrada.

SIGPAC (Geographical Identification System for Agricultural Plots) is a tool that delimits and collects various attributes of plots of land in a territory with the aim of making it easier for farmers to complete their applications for CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) subsidies. The maps are very up to date and give an accurate idea of the type of agricultural activity carried out, population centers, protected areas, and more.

Both SIGPAC and Google Earth show what a territory looks like, but they can also be used to see how it has evolved. With this in mind, we have published several posts over the years that can help you learn about part of the history of Hacienda Riquelme. Selected links are included at the end of this post.

Hacienda Riquelme en Google Earth (abril 2023) / Hacienda Riquelme in Google Earth (April 2023)

De vez en cuando, Google Earth actualiza las imágenes visualizadas. Las más recientes disponibles de Hacienda Riquelme son de abril de 2023.

Si descarga la imagen siguiente, la obtendrá a una resolución de 1920x2130 píxeles. Al ampliarla podrá ver como en la primavera de 2023 el césped de las zonas de la Comunidad General y la EUCC prácticamente había desaparecido. El campo de golf no se encontraba tampoco en muy buen estado. Observe también como quedó la zona de la finca Borrambla situada junto a la Fase 1 del resort tras la tala de miles de árboles frutales.

Más de un año después la situación no ha mejorado, sobre todo tras aprobarse la tala de más de 100 árboles ¿Qué queda de la jardinería del resort?

From time to time Google Earth updates the images displayed. The most recent ones available for Hacienda Riquelme are from April 2023.

If you download the image below, you will get it at a resolution of 1920x2130 pixels. When enlarged, you can see that in the spring of 2023 the grass in the General Community and EUCC areas had virtually disappeared. The golf course was not in a very good condition either. See also how the area of the Borrambla estate next to tha Phase 1 of the resort was left after the felling of thousands of fruit trees.

More than a year later the situation has not improved, especially after the approval of the felling of more than 100 trees. What remains of the resort's landscaping?

A lo largo de los años hemos publicado varias entradas con fotos aéreas de Hacienda Riquelme. SIGPAC, Cartomur (que ya no está operativo) y sobre todo Google Earth han sido las fuentes. En esta entrada mostramos un breve vídeo (25") hecho con Google Earth Studio. Las imágenes son del 24 de mayo de 2020.

Over the years we have published several posts with aerial photos of Hacienda Riquelme. SIGPAC, Cartomur (which is no longer operational) and above all Google Earth have been the sources. In this post we show a short video (25") made with Google Earth Studio. The images are from May 24, 2020.

La historia de Hacienda Riquelme en Google Earth / The history of Hacienda Riquelme in Google Earth

In the posts The history of Hacienda Riquelme told by aerial photos and The History of Hacienda Riquelme in Cartomur we saw how the geographic information system Cartomur can give us much information about the evolution of a site over the years.

Google Earth also offers this kind of information. To access it you have to press the button Display historical pictures in the toolbar of the program. The images of the area of Hacienda Riquelme and Sucina are available for the following dates:

Vistas actualizadas de Hacienda Riquelme en Google Earth / Updated views of Hacienda Riquelme in Google Earth

After at least four years, Google has finally updated its maps. New satellite views of Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort are now available. Pictures were taken on January 4, 2011.

Google Earth and Google Maps use the same maps. Google Earth offers 3D views and other functions (e.g. a flight simulator) that Google Maps doesn't.

Después de por lo menos cuatro años, Google ha actualizado por fin sus mapas. Vistas desde satélite recientes de Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort están ahora disponibles. Las fotos se tomaron el 4 de enero de 2011.

Google Earth y Google Maps utilizan los mismos mapas. Google Earth ofrece vistas en 3D y otras funciones, como un simulador de vuelo, que Google Maps no tiene.

SIGPAC (System for Geographical Identification of Farming Land) has updated its maps. Neither Google Earth nor Sitmurcia nor Cartomur have so recent images. Merely by way of an example, now you can see the Cason fully rehabilitated and the link road from Hacienda Riquelme to highway RM-1.

SIGPAC (Sistema de Identificación Geográfica de Parcelas Agrícolas) ha actualizado sus mapas. Ni Google Earth ni Sitmurcia ni Cartomur ofrecen a día de hoy imágenes tan recientes. A modo de ejemplo, ahora pueden verse el Casón completamente rehabilitado y la carretera que enlaza Hacienda Riquelme con la autovía RM-1.

Google Earth, Hacienda Riquelme y el AVE / Google Earth, Hacienda Riquelme and the AVE

Several months ago, in the posts Hacienda Riquelme views in Google Earth and SIGPAC (April 9, 2010) and Cartomur, cartography of the Región de Murcia (May 14, 2010) we talked about websites like SIGPAC or Cartomur including more complete and updated information about the Región de Murcia than that available in Google Earth.

We have found another specific tool on Murcia. Its name is Sitmurcia.  It is a Territorial Information System (TIS) that includes many selectable information layers. Page loading is not too fast but it is worth waiting due to the amount and variety of data that can be found.

Merely by way of an example, you can see in the picture, coloured in pink and close to Hacienda Riquelme, the corridor reserved for the future construction of the Murcia-Cartagena section of the AVE (Spanish High Speed Railway) although it is years away and we do not know if there are other alternative corridors.

Hace meses, en la entradas Vistas de Hacienda Riquelme en Google Earth y SIGPAC (9 abril 2010) y Cartomur, cartografía de la Región de Murcia (14 mayo 2010) comentamos que existían webs como SIGPAC o Cartomur que contenían información más completa y actualizada de la Región de Murcia que la disponible en Google Earth.

Hemos encontrado otra herramienta también específica de Murcia. Se trata de Sitmurcia.  Es un Sistema de Información Territorial (SIT) con multitud de capas de información seleccionables. La carga de las páginas no es demasiado rápida pero el tiempo de espera vale la pena por la cantidad de datos que se pueden encontrar.

A modo de ejemplo, en la figura adjunta aparece en color rosa y bastante cerca de Hacienda Riquelme el pasillo reservado para el paso del futuro tramo Murcia-Cartagena del AVE. Aunque para esto faltan años y no sabemos si hay otros pasillos alternativos.

http://www.cartomur.com/ is the Digital Portal of the Cartographic Service of the Dirección General de Ordenación del Territorio de la Región de Murcia. It offers Reference Geographic Information services and tools to manage them. It includes the following interactive visualization tools:

• Cartoteca: viewer map of Región de Murcia.
• Vuelo virtual: tool that allows you to fly in a dynamic and intuitive way on the territory of the Region de Murcia.
• Visor Estereoscópico: StereoWebMap based service that allows you to view aerial photographs in 3D with stereoscopic techniques.

Available pictures are more recent and detailed than the ones found in Google Earth and SIGPAC (see the blog entry Hacienda Riquelme views in Google Earth and SIGPAC). Click in the images to enlarge.

http://www.cartomur.com/ es el Portal Digital del Servicio de Cartografía de la Dirección General de Ordenación del Territorio de la Región de Murcia. Ofrece servicios de Información Geográfica de Referencia y herramientas para la gestión de los mismos. Incluye las herramientas de visualización interactivas:

Más modernas y detalladas se puede encontrar en SIGPAC (Sistema de Identificación Geográfica de Parcelas Agrícolas). Se accede a través del enlace http://sigpac.mapa.es/fega/visor/
Requiere tener instalado un plug-in de Microsoft denominado Silverlight. De momento, puede hacer clic sobre la imagen adjunta.

If you like to see Hacienda Riquelme satellite views, the ones available in Google Earth are a bit disappointing. More recent and detailed ones can be found  in SIGPAC (Sistema de Identificación Geográfica de Parcelas Agrícolas). You can access there through the link http://sigpac.mapa.es/fega/visor/
