Unas elecciones clave / A key elections

El próximo 16 de abril de 2024, se celebran elecciones para elegir un nuevo Comité. Son unas elecciones muy importantes porque:

• Cuotas: Los presupuestos de la CG y la EUCC, y por tanto las cuotas que pagamos los vecinos, no han parado de aumentar en los últimos años a un ritmo inaceptable (ver gráficas más abajo).
• Deuda de la CG: La deuda reconocida de la Comunidad General con la subcomunidades asciende a 1.358.539,53 €. No se entiende que aún así las cuotas sigan subiendo.
• Jardinería: A pesar del incremento de dichas cuotas, la jardinería del resort, que es lo que le da su imagen y su atractivo, se ha ido deteriorando año tras año desde hace mucho, y no siempre ha habido sequía. Las soluciones a los problemas del paisajismo parece que consisten en cubrir de piedras las zonas verdes, talar árboles y dedicarse a podar y fumigar lo demás.
• Transparencia: Las acusaciones de falta de transparencia y malas prácticas contables continúan. Hay propietarios, preocupados por la gestión del resort, que no están de acuerdo con la autoadministración ni con el asesor jurídico.

Resumiendo, el futuro del resort depende de estas elecciones. Va siendo hora de enderezar el rumbo.

On April 16, 2024, elections will be held to elect a new Committee. These elections are very important because:

• Fees: The budgets of the GC and the EUCC, and therefore the fees that neighbours pay, have not stopped increasing in recent years at an unacceptable rate (see graphs below).
• GC debt: The recognized debt of the General Community with the sub-communities amounts to 1,358,539.53 €. It is incomprehensible that even so the fees continue to rise.
• Gardening: Despite the increase in these fees, the resort's landscaping, which is what gives it its image and attractiveness, has been deteriorating year after year for a long time, and there has not always been a drought. The solutions to the landscaping problems seem to consist of covering the green areas with stones, cutting down trees and pruning and spraying the rest.
• Transparency: Accusations of lack of transparency and poor accounting practices continue. There are owners, concerned about the management of the resort, who do not agree with the self-management or the legal counsel.

In short, the future of the resort depends on these elections. It is time to get things back on track.
