450 años del tornaviaje de Urdaneta / 450 anniversary of Urdanetas’s travel

By the last third of the sixteenth century Spaniards and Portuguese had established several sea routes that had globalized world trade for the first time in the history of mankind.

The last of these routes, the Manila's Galleon legendary line, was only possible because, after years of trials and fails, Andrés de Urdaneta managed to cross the Pacific Ocean by sailing from west to east, from the Philippines to Mexico. It was known as the tornaviaje or trip to return from Asia to America.

En el último tercio del siglo XVI los españoles y portugueses habían establecido unas rutas de navegación que globalizaban el comercio mundial por primera vez en la historia de la humanidad,

La última de estas rutas, la legendaria línea del Galeón de Manila, sólo fue posible gracias a que, tras largos años de intentos y fracasos, Andrés de Urdaneta logró atravesar el océano Pacífico navegando de oeste a este, desde Filipinas hasta México. Era el conocido como tornaviaje, o viaje de retorno desde Asia hasta América.
