Estamos encantados de anunciar que HRGR Association y Hacienda Riquelme Blog acaban de acordar unir sus fuerzas con el objetivo de conseguir la máxima transparencia y eficiencia en costes para todos los propietarios de la comunidad Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort.

Tras Hacienda Riquelme Blog estamos un número de residentes, entre los que predominan los españoles pero también hay propietarios de otros países de la Unión Europea. Hemos constituido legalmente y creado la estructura de una asociación, la APHR (Asociación de Propietarios de Hacienda Riquelme) que cada año deberá celebrar reuniones y una Junta General con actas debidamente registradas.

Por su parte, HRGR Association fue creada por miembros de la comunidad inglesa de Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort. Ahora pasará a incorporarse a la estructura jurídica legal española de APHR, que mantendrá a su presidente español. Un comité paneuropeo ya está preparado para gestionar la integración de las partes con la intención de impulsar acciones para conseguir la citada transparencia y eficiencia de costes cara a la próxima AGM de marzo de 2011.

Nuestro objetivo es promover un cambio positivo para todos los propietarios de Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort. Estamos dispuestos a representar a la Comunidad y apoyar el proceso de elección de un nuevo presidente, comité y administrador del resort.

Así es como entendemos la primera colaboración material de los propietarios ingleses, españoles, y de cualquier otra nacionalidad, trabajando juntos para cambiar a mejor.

En relación a Hacienda Riquelme Blog nuestra intención es continuar subiendo artículos pero de temas más generales, tal y como veníamos haciendo (naturaleza, historia, consejos, enlaces…).

We are please to announce that the HRGR Association and the HRGR Blog have today agreed to join forces together with the intent to drive Cost Effective Transparency for all owners within the HRGR Owners Community.

The HRGR Blog consists of a number of resident owners predominately Spanish but including residents across the EU who have set up the HRGR Association legal structure in Spain. This is a recognised legal body that has to hold meetings and an AGM each year with recorded minutes.

The HRGR Association was set up from the English HRGR community and will now transition to incorporate the HRGR legal Spanish structure as set up with a Spanish President of the Association. A Pan-European Committee is already in place and will now transition to include the new parties with the intent to drive Cost Effective Transparency actions for the next Resort AGM in March.

We aim to support positive change for all HRGR owners and we are willing to stand for the Community and support the change process of a new President, Committee and Administrator of the Resort.

This is as we understand the first material cooperation of Spanish, English and other EU owners working collectively together for positive change.

Regarding HRGR Blog our intention is to continue uploading posts but about more general issues such as we have been doing (wildlife, history, tips & tricks, links ...).

Does Hacienda Riquelme need an Environmental Policy? / ¿Necesita Hacienda Riquelme una normativa medioambiental?

I recently read of the ‘Community/Golf Course Boundary’ project on the official HRGR website and that is what prompted me to write.

This spring there was a magnificent display of beautiful wildflowers all along the area between the Gardens and the Golf Course.

Some people have called this waste ground. I prefer to think of it as a wild area. This is the area where birds feed and butterflies fly. It should be encouraged.

One mans weed is another mans wildflower. One persons bug is another persons Biodiversity.

Does Hacienda Riquelme have an Environmental Policy to encourage Biodiversity?

I don't want to live in a sterile environment where everything that isn't Golf is chopped down, sprayed or killed.

I know that Spain was a signatory at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, 1992 that pledged all governments to protect all aspects of the environment including biodiversity.

It became known as Agenda 21 in the UK, in Spain it is Programa 21.

All organisations big and small are supposed to adopt Agenda / Programa 21 (This includes recycling, sustainability, energy and water efficiency AND Biodiversity).

I believe that Hacienda Riquelme is the richest of the PW resorts for wildlife, lets keep it that way.

Many Golf Courses in the UK do have an environmental policy and they deliberately set aside areas to encourage wildlife. Hacienda Riquelme should too!

Recientemente leí sobre el proyecto ‘Linde Comunidad/Campo de Golf' en la web oficial de HRGR y esto ha sido lo que me ha impulsado a escribir.

Esta primavera hubo una vista magnífica de bonitas flores silvestres a lo largo de todo el área situada entre los jardines y el campo de golf.

Algunas personas han llamado a esto un terreno desperdiciado. Yo prefiero pensar en ello como una zona silvestre. Es donde los pájaros se alimentan y las mariposas vuelan. Es algo que debería resaltarse.

Lo que para unos es maleza para otros son flores silvestres. Lo que para unos son bichos para otros es biodiversidad.

¿Tiene Hacienda Riquelme una normativa medioambiental que promueva la biodiversidad?

No quiero vivir en un entorno estéril donde todo lo que no es golf se corta, fumiga o mata.

Sé que España fue uno de los firmantes en la Cumbre de la Tierra de Río de Janeiro, en 1992, en la que se aprobó que todos los gobiernos protegieran todos los aspectos del medio ambiente incluyendo la biodiversidad.

Esto se conoce en el Reino Unido como la Agenda 21 y en España como el Programa 21.

Todas las organizaciones grandes y pequeñas se supone que adoptarán la Agenda / Programa 21 (Esto incluye reciclado, sostenibilidad, eficiencia en el uso de energía y agua y BIODIVERSIDAD).

Creo que Hacienda Riquelme tiene la vida silvestre más rica entre los resorts de Polaris World. Mantengámosla así.

Muchos campos de golf en Reino Unido tiene una normativa medioambiental y dejan deliberadamemente áreas para potenciar la vida silvestre ¡Hacienda Riquelme también debería hacerlo!

Hidden treasures of the night (2) / Tesoros ocultos de la noche (2)

Probably, the subject of the previous post surprised you. Most of us were not aware of some of the natural assets within Hacienda Riquelme. None of the other Polaris World resorts appear to come close to this variety of wildlife. The source for this information is the meticulous work carried out by our neighbour John. We sincerely thank him for sharing this data with everyone.

You can see next, a couple of figures containing 24 more species of moths. John took these pictures inside Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort during four weeks in April, August and October 2010.

El tema de la entrada anterior posiblemente le sorprendió. Casi ninguno de nosotros era consciente de algunos de los valores naturales que encierra Hacienda Riquelme.  Ningún otro resort de Polaris World parece acercarse a esta variedad de fauna. La base de esta afirmación es el meticuloso trabajo de nuestro vecino John, al que agradecemos sinceramente que lo comparta con todos.

A continuación puede ver un par de figuras con otras 24 especies de polillas. John sacó estas fotos dentro de Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort durante cuatro semanas en abril, agosto y octubre de 2010.

Hidden treasures of the night / Tesoros ocultos de la noche

As daylight fades, a whole new and colourful world comes alive at Hacienda Riquelme. See the pictures of some of the many species of moths so far recorded in our resort (click to enlarge).

Many of you will have seen bats chasing moths and other insects in the evenings. Moths are quite harmless and are a sign of a healthy environment.

Cuando anochece, un mundo completamente nuevo y lleno de color renace en Hacienda Riquelme. En la figura se muestran algunas de las muchas especies de polillas fotografiadas hasta ahora en nuestro resort (clic para ampliar).
Muchos de ustedes habrán visto al atardecer murciélagos cazando polillas y otros insectos. Las polillas son en general inofensivas y son también un signo de un medio ambiente saludable.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is a sub-forum inside Polaris World Forum. It is probably the most active website to freely discuss any issue concerning our resort. Participants are usually British and messages are in English.
The figure is a screen capture showing the issues raised during the last 5 days (12th to 16th November). They will probably interest you.

El subforo dedicado a Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort dentro de Polaris World Forum es probablemente el sitio web más activo a la hora de comentar con libertad cualquier tema sobre nuestro resort. Los participantes suelen ser británicos y los mensajes están en inglés.

Cachorros en adopción / Puppies for adoption

One month ago the puppies were born, and we haven´t yet met adoptive parents for any of them. They are growing bigger and need a new home because we can´t keep everyone. If you are interested in adopting one, or you know someone who wants to do it, please contact us by email  (see below):

Hoy se cumple un mes desde el nacimiento de los cachorros de Loba, y aun no hemos encontrado padres adoptivos para ninguno de ellos. Van haciéndose grandes y necesitan un nuevo hogar, ya que en casa no los podemos mantener a todos. Nuevo procedimiento para elegir al Presidente / New procedure for electing the President

The President’s November 2010 newsletter is now available on Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort Community of Owners. We highlight three of the covered topics:

• Ron Locke has withdrawn his resignation and will remain as phase president until the AGM 2011.
• Several contracts are being under renegotiation with suppliers.
• The current Committee has approved a new procedure for electing the resort’s president.

The next president will be elected directly by the 78 sub-community presidents, elected in the AGM 2011. Although it was not the only alternative, we believe it is a more democratic system that the present one and we welcome this change.

However, there is still a serious underlying problem: the Committee will continue to be formed by the presidents of each phase. Since the first posts in this blog we have already said that each phase has a very different number of sub-communities and the organization and/or operation of the Committee needs to be changed to ensure a balanced representation of owners.

Ya está disponible en Comunidad de Propietarios de Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort el boletín de noviembre de la presidenta. Entre los temas que trata destacamos tres:

• Ron Locke ha retirado su dimisión y se mantendrá como presidente de fase hasta la AGM 2011.
• Se están renegociando varios contratos con proveedores.
• El actual Comité ha aprobado un nuevo procedimiento para la elección de presidente del resort.

El próximo presidente será elegido directamente por los 78 presidentes de subcomunidad que salgan de la AGM 2011. Aunque no era la única alternativa, creemos que es un procedimiento más democrático que el actual y nos alegramos del cambio.

Sin embargo, persiste un problema de fondo grave: el Comité continuará estando formado por los presidentes de fase. Desde las primeras entradas de este blog ya dijimos que, al tener cada fase un número muy variable de subcomunidades, la organización y/o funcionamiento del Comité requiere cambios para poder representar a los propietarios de forma equilibrada.

Mejoras en el apartamento / Home improvements

One of the most visited pages in this blog is Tips and tricks, although we have not extended its content long ago. That's why we think you may be interested in photos and proposals for terraces, kitchens and baths available at Home improvements in the website of our neighbours Aidan and Mandy. We had already talked about this site in the post Corvera Airport.

Una de las páginas más visitadas de este blog es Trucos y consejos, a pesar que hace tiempo no ampliamos su contenido. Por eso creemos le pueden interesar las fotos y propuestas para terrazas, cocinas y baños que encontrará en la sección Home improvements de la web de nuestros vecinos Aidan y Mandy. This post is number 101 of those published in the 7 months of life of Hacienda Riquelme Blog.

During this time we have posted articles on many different subjects including lots of information (links, photos, services, history, news, etc). We have also tried to describe the characteristics of our resort, such as the spaces and natural resources that surround it but we think are neither known nor appreciated as they deserve.

Finally, we have endeavoured to highlight the need for a more transparent and efficient management of our resort. We fully disagree with the way the current administrator and committee have managed it for almost 3 years. If you are not aware of the problems, you probably do not worry about them. But problems exist and they are costing us extra money every month.

Any post, regardless of its date of publication, can be easyly found through the Blog post index included.

At the time of writing these lines over 1,860 visitors have paid 5,200 visits and viewed more than 14,000 pages. Cooperation with other owners' websites has been very useful in making us all better aware and our opinions more effectively known.

The information we publish often come from an increasing number of residents and owners. It is therefore a collective task. Thank you very much to everybody for your cooperation and visits to this blog.

Esta entrada es la número 101 de las publicadas en los 7 meses de vida de Hacienda Riquelme Blog.

En este tiempo hemos subido artículos de temas variados, en los que se recopila gran cantidad de información (enlaces, fotos, servicios, historia, noticias…). También hemos intentado divulgar características de nuestro resort, como los espacios y valores naturales que le rodean, que creemos no se conocen ni valoran como merecen.

Por último, nos hemos esforzado en poner de manifiesto la necesidad de una gestión más transparente y eficaz de nuestro resort. Discrepamos de lleno de la forma en que el actual administrador y comité la están llevando desde hace ya casi 3 años. Si usted no conoce los problemas, probablemente no se preocupe por ellos. Pero los problemas existen y cada mes nos están costando dinero.

Todas las entradas, con independencia de su fecha de publicación, pueden consultarse con la ayuda del índice temático de entradas incluido.

En el momento de escribir estas líneas se superan los 1.860 visitantes, que han realizado más de 5.000 visitas y visto más de 14.000 páginas. La colaboración con los websites de otros propietarios ha sido muy útil para que todos seamos más conocidos y las opiniones se difundan con más eficacia.

La información que publicamos nos suele llegar a través de un número creciente de residentes y propietarios. Es pues una tarea colectiva. A todos, colaboradores y visitantes del blog, muchas gracias.

Exposición fotográfica / Photography exhibition

On Monday 25th October, in the Garden of Sucina Cultural Center, there was the temporal photography exhibition "The Landscape Values of the Sierra de Los Villares, El Valle, Columbares, Altaona and Escalona”. Many of the photos have been taken a few kilometers far from Hacienda Riquelme. You can have a look on the Iniciativa Columbra page.

Iniciativa Columbra aims to contribute to the conservation of the biodiversity in the Areas of Special Protection for Birds (ZEPA) of "Monte El Valle y Sierras de Altaona y Escalona” (Región de Murcia) and "Dehesa de Campoamor y Sierra de Escalona” (Alicante) to encourage the sustainable management of farms in the ZEPA, through the implementation of a land stewardship program on private lands, advising owners, farmers and other actors and spread the information about the natural values of this territory.

El pasado lunes 25 de octubre, en el jardín del Jardín del Centro Cultural de Sucina se pudo contemplar la exposición itinerante de fotografía "Los Valores Paisajísticos de las Sierras de Los Villares, El Valle, Columbares, Escalona y Altaona". Muchas de las fotos se han sacado a muy pocos kilómetros de Hacienda Riquelme. Puede verlas en la página Iniciativa Columbra.

La Iniciativa Columbra pretende contribuir a la conservación de la Biodiversidad en las Zonas de Especial Protección para las Aves (ZEPA) de “Monte El Valle y Sierras de Altaona y Escalona” (Región de Murcia) y “Dehesa de Campoamor y Sierra de Escalona” (Alicante) para favorecer la gestión sostenible de las fincas ubicadas en las ZEPA, a través de la implementación de un programa de custodia del territorio en terrenos privados, asesoramiento a propietarios, agricultores y otros agentes sociales y la divulgación de los valores naturales de este territorio.

Aeropuerto de Corvera / Corvera airport

Despite the crisis, works in Corvera airport continue in progress. This is good news and it has many economic implications for Murcia and also for the resorts of Polaris.
